Described is an insulator of the post type for polluted zones, which is molded in a single piece of a casing and a core, which handles a nominal voltage of 13.8 Kv, 23 Kv and/or 34.5 Kv., which comprises: a casing body with a hollow central longitudinal axis for receiving a core, said body also comprising a first and a second end portion, the first end portion comprising a first assembling case and the second end portion a second assembling case; a fastening ironwork, which comprises a free end portion and a coupling end portion, the free end portion having an upper groove and a lateral groove and the coupling end portion having a coupling pivot and a coupling drawer, where the coupling pivot is coupled to the first assembling case of the first end portion of the casing. The invention also includes a metallic base comprising a first end portion and a second end portion, where the first end portion has a coupling drawer and the second end portion a central bore threaded in line with th e longitudinal axes of the metallic base where the first end portion is coupled to the second assembling case of the second end portion of the casing body.
