The invention relates to an English language voice interpreter for Romanian-speaking users. According to the invention, the voice interpreter comprises a speech recognition module (1) which consists of a microphone connected to the sound card of a computer system (4) which, using the components of the operating system of the computer system (4) takes over voice messages, recognizes them and transmits them to a control module (2) which is a software component and, on the one hand, configures the speech recognition module (1) while, on the other hand, transmits a sequence of keystroke-equivalent commands to an application module (3).
