A method for protecting potato plants and improving the yield’s marketable quality includes treating the potato with a fungicide based on metalaxyl-M and mankozeb. At all stages of potato agrocenosis, in particular in spring - before planting, in the period of budding and flowering the potato is treated with a solution of the fungicide, which is supplemented with strains of bacteria Pseudomonas fluorescence AP-33 respectively at the rate of 2.5+2.0 l/ha.
