Carriage chucks for horizontal machine automatically forming and filling flexible packages. # The gripper carriage includes a carriage body (1) elongated in a longitudinal direction, having an upper surface (1a), side surfaces (1b) forming acute angles with said upper surface (1a), a bottom surface (1c) and some flaps (2) side extending downwardly from lower ends of the side surfaces (1b). A clip members (20) are fixed to transverse side surfaces (1b) of the carriage body (1) by a holding fingers (21a, 22a). A guide rail (3) parallel to the longitudinal direction is fixed to the bottom surface (1c) of the carriage body (1) between the flaps (2). The carriage body (1), including the top, side and bottom surfaces (1a, 1b, 1c) and the flaps (2) is made of a single piece of carbon fiber impregnated with a polymer. Preferably, the clip members (20) are made of plastic.
