Provided are: an immediate-release tablet formulation that contains casein and/or casein hydrolysate at a high concentration as an active ingredient and yet has excellent mechanical strength; a composition for the immediate-release tablet formulation, said composition having excellent tabletability; and a method for manufacturing the immediate-release tablet formulation using the composition. The immediate-release tablet formulation and the composition for the immediate-release tablet formulation comprise 50 mass% or more of casein and/or casein hydrolysate and lactose having a volume-average particle size of 50-300 μm inclusive, wherein the lactose content is 6.0-100 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of casein and/or casein hydrolysate. The method for manufacturing the immediate-release tablet formulation comprises: a step for preparing the composition for the immediate-release tablet formulation as a mixture; a step for filling the mixture in a mortar and tabletting; and a step for taking out tablets thus tabletted from the mortar.
