Provided is a preparation method for a non-opaque relief sculpture, comprising the following steps: A) establishing a three-dimensional model of a non-opaque relief sculpture via a computer; B) slicing the three-dimensional model in step A) via the computer to obtain a two-dimensional sliced model; and C) stacking molten non-opaque matter layer by layer in accordance with an outline of the two-dimensional sliced model obtained in step B) to obtain the non-opaque relief sculpture. The preparation method provided by the present invention generates the three-dimensional model of the non-opaque relief sculpture in the computer, which is easy to save. The preparation method provided by the present invention has the advantages that the degree of manufacturing flexibility is high, manual engraving labour intensity is alleviated, product lead time is short, and the machining speed is high. The entire design of the non-opaque relief sculpture is completed in the computer, an actual manufacturing process of the non-opaque relief sculpture is also carried out under the control of the computer, and digitisation and intelligence of manufacturing are genuinely achieved. The preparation method provided by the present invention can directly form a complex relief sculpture blank, and can manufacture a non-opaque relief sculpture which cannot be made by manual engraving.
