It is desirable to install a light shielding blind (160) around at least one level of the side wall of the ecological water tank (30). It is desirable to install a light irradiating device (90) for irradiating light into the ecological tank (30) in a space in an upper portion of the ecological tank (30). According to the present invention, the flow rate can be varied according to actual environments involving flowing water, such as rivers, streams, and oceans, the darkness can be varied depending on the water depth, and the amount of light irradiation can also be controlled to create an environment inside the ecological tank closest to the actual environment. Therefore, ecological environments underwater can be very accurately and reliably investigated and studied.
