The present invention relates to a novel scanning electron microscopic tissue processing method to diagnose malignant mesothelioma using paraffin embedded pathologic specimen. More specifically, the present invention relates to a novel scanning electron microscopic tissue processing method to diagnose a tumor using paraffin embedded pathologic specimen to accurately diagnose malignant mesothelioma through fractography of microvilli located between the tumor cells. According to the present invention, biopsy samples can easily be produced in a short time using paraffinic residual tumor tissue. Thin and long microvilli can clearly be observed by high resolution scanning electron microscope (1,000 times to 10,000 times), although part of paraffin made by a conventional method is faintly observed in a space between the tumor cells by an optical microscope due to its resolution limit (20 times to 1,000 times), thus being distinguishable from other malignant cells. In particular, the present invention can be useful in diagnosing malignant mesothelioma by confirming the characteristic shape of microvilli through a tissue production process for scanning electron microscopy using residual paraffin tissue when the immunohistochemical staining results are ambiguous.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
