The present invention relates to a Chinese phonetic transcription system using Hangul and a method thereof and, more particularly, to the Chinese phonetic transcription system and the method thereof, which enable a user to learn or express Chinese character or Chinese pronunciation of the Chinese character easily by being able to express the Chinese pronunciation as to the Chinese character by converting Korean pronunciation of the Chinese character on the basis thereof, on the thought that a basic principle of Hunminjeongeum creation is to express the Chinese character in phonetic script. Especially, the system can distinguish a Chinese character or a Sino-Korean word whose Korean pronunciation and Chinese pronunciation are equal, a Chinese character or a Sino-Korean word whose Chinese pronunciation is changed regularly from the Korean pronunciation, and a Chinese character or a Sino-Korean word whose Chinese pronunciation is changed irregularly from Korean pronunciation, and also can express the Chinese character in the Chinese pronunciation accurately by converting the Korean pronunciation, by classification according to an algorithm where an initial sound part of the Korean pronunciation of the Chinese character or the Sino-Korean word is changed into the Chinese pronunciation, an algorithm where a medial part of the Korean pronunciation is changed into the Chinese pronunciation, and an algorithm where a final consonant part of the Korean pronunciation is changed into the Chinese pronunciation. Also, the system of the present invention can expand Chinese phonetic transcription on the basis of the Korean pronunciation of the Chinese character by updating a database of the system continuously or according to an input.
