The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a pitch-based carbon/manganese oxide composite for supercapacitor. The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a pitch-based carbon/manganese composite for a supercapacitor, which comprises the steps of: (1) performing a preprocess of mixing pitch-based carbon with an acid solution; (2) activating the preprocessed pitch-based carbon by mixing an alkali solution with the preprocessed pitch-based carbon preprocessed in the step (2); and (3) deriving the manganese oxide by mixing the pitch-based carbon, activated in the step (2), with an aqueous solution containing manganese ions, thereby manufacturing the composite by deriving the metal oxide at the pitch-based carbon via a relatively simple and cheap chemical method, and usefully using the pitch-based carbon/manganese composite as a supercapacitor electrode with excellent energy density or the like.
