The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising Clinacanthus nutans extract, and more specifically, to a cosmetic composition comprising Clinacanthus nutans extract as a main ingredient. The Clinacanthus nutans extract of the present invention is highly stable such that it does not cause side effects on the skin, and has an antioxidant activity that promotes the growth of human dermal fibroblasts and the generation of collagen therein, to thereby improve the moisturization, thickness, elasticity, and texture of the skin and enhance skin barriers, and treat the appearance of wrinkles and hyperpigmentation on the skin. Accordingly, the composition of the present invention containing such extracts can be used as an ingredient in functional cosmetic products that improve the quality of skin without irritating the skin.
