An apparatus for substituting a predicate and a ranking method for a verb predicate for substituting a verb predicate of a noun predicate thereof of the present invention comprises the steps of: obtaining noun predicate and domain information corresponding to an application area of the noun predicate; extracting a plurality of verb predicates corresponding to the noun predicate; generating a plurality of query languages corresponding to each of the verb predicate by combining each of the extracted verb predicates and the domain information; measuring a frequency of use of each of the verb predicate by web-searching the plurality of query languages through the established search engine; and prioritizing the verb predicate based on the frequency of use of each of the verb predicate. The present invention is designed to provide an apparatus for substituting a predicate and a ranking method for a verb predicate for substituting a verb predicate of a noun predicate capable of greatly improving accuracy and reliability of substitution operation.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
