The present invention relates to nanostructured gold nanoparticles having two different structures of a raspberry-like form packed with nano particles and a rosette-like packed nano plates. Sphere and a method of manufacturing the same. According to the present invention, submicron-sized gold spheres have a very uniform shape, and the size distribution of the spheres is very narrow. In addition, the sphere may be deposited uniformly on a glass slide or a silicon wafer. Due to the nanostructured surface of the gold spear, the gold spear exhibits a high SERS-activity for methylene blue (MB) and crystal violet (CV) at a low concentration of 10 -7 M. Coarse surface structures and nanoscale gaps appear on the gold surface with high SERS-activity. The high light scattering ability of the submicron-scale gold spear will be applicable to a variety of applications in the future.
