FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: structures/blocks are pointed out on the examined territory by data of aerial photography. Blast-holes are bored on pointed out structures/blocks and samples of free gases in them are collected. Chromatographic analysis of free gases is carried out and composition of hydrocarbon gases in them is determined. Tectonic tension of structures/blocks is determined. Structures/blocks are ranged by hydrocarbon geochemical background and by tectonic tension. Structures/blocks with minimal hydrocarbon geochemical background and tectonic tension are considered to be prospective in petroleum potential respect.;EFFECT: increase of self-descriptiveness and reliability of prediction.;7 dwg, 2 tbl
