It herein are methods and systems for de-icing an intake grille and for dehumidifying an intake air filter disclosed in a gas turbine. The method includes determining (402) an instantaneous intake grill temperature. The method includes determining (404) a desired intake grill temperature. If the current intake grill temperature is lower than the desired intake grill temperature, the method may further comprises determining (408) a first amount of gas turbine ventilation exhaust air that is required to achieve the desired inlet grid temperature, removing (412) the first quantity of the gas turbine ventilation exhaust air and conveying (414) the included first amount of gas turbine exhaust ventilation to the intake grille.
