Can changer for a spinning preparation machine and method for changing cans

The can changer has two possible gripping units by which the can (1) is brought between two positions. Each possible gripping portion has a stop surface for the can and a holding element movably mounted relative to the stop surface. The holding element is provided with an actuating device between closed position, in which the can is fixed with the aid of holding element and the associated stop surface of the respective gripping portion, and an open position in which no fixing of the can takes place and the can movable. An independent claim is included for method for changing can at spinning preparation machine.
