The equipment is for producing carpet squares with a pile side and a rear side for imparting shape and dimension stability. The method involved entails the production of a semi-product with tuft production, weaving, bonding or other appropriate measures, with rear side location on the pile side for formation of the semi-product. The semi-product is stamped out into the required shape and dimensions. Felt is used to produce the rear side, which is coated with a thermo-hardening and water-based latex.
