The grinding wheel has an inner core section (10) and an outer annular grinding section (11) which are connected to each other. The annular grinding section is made of granular abrasive material. The grinding section is made of metal or metal alloy matrix, or contains a thermosetting resin, where the granular abrasive contains plastic or glass fibers. A curing agent is provided, which contains bauxite, graphite or molybdenum sulfide.
