PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the worsening of a performance of an electrochemical reaction single cell in operation.SOLUTION: An electrochemical reaction single cell comprises: an electrolyte layer including a solid oxide; and an air electrode and a fuel electrode which are opposed to each other in a first direction and between which the electrolyte layer is located. The air electrode includes: a first layer including a composite oxide having a perovskite structure; and a second layer located on an electrolyte layer side of the first layer in the first direction and including a composite oxide and a gadolinium-doped ceria. There is a region of a predetermined size in at least one section of the second layer in parallel with the first direction, in which the percentage of the number of pores having a diameter larger than an average particle diameter of the composite oxide to the total number of pores is 35% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
