PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-containing nanoparticle-carrying catalyst that has good catalytic performance (for example, catalytic activity, selectivity and the like) for a reduction reaction of carbon dioxide and can satisfactorily accelerate/control the reduction reaction of carbon dioxide and to provide a carbon dioxide reduction apparatus.;SOLUTION: The metal-containing nanoparticle-carrying catalyst is used for reduction of carbon dioxide and is produced by carrying metal-containing nanoparticles on a semiconductor particle as a carrier. The metal-containing nanoparticle contains at least one kind of metal atom (M) selected from gold, silver, copper, platinum, rhodium, palladium, nickel, cobalt, iron, manganese, chromium, iridium, zinc, titanium and ruthenium.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
