PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter back washing device, a char recovery device having the same and a filter back washing method where the dust collecting performance of a filter can be recovered and the increase of the number of times of back washing can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A filter back washing device 94 includes: a gas injection device 110 being disposed at the downstream side of an element 108 in the flow direction of a circulation gas and injecting a back washing gas from the downstream side toward the element 108; a parameter detection device (accumulation amount detection unit 169 or differential pressure gauges 122a, 122b) detecting a parameter used for the state of dust stuck to the element 108; and a control unit 100 where the thickness of the dust 109 is estimated based on the detection result of the parameter detection device, the back washing gas is injected from the gas injection device 110 based on the estimated thickness of dust 109 and the back washing interval of the element 108 is determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
