Synthetic Aperture Radar System, Progressing Direction Velocity Calculating Device, and Progressing Direction Velocity Estimating Method

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of detecting a traveling direction speed of a target moving on the ground and the sea with high accuracy in a synthetic aperture radar system.SOLUTION: The synthetic aperture radar system includes traveling direction speed calculation means for detecting amplitude image data near the target in each processing parameter by using a plurality of processing parameters obtained by assuming the traveling direction speed of the target, comparing a plurality of pieces of amplitude image data in each detected processing parameter, and performing processing for regarding a traveling direction speed shown by the processing parameter of amplitude image data close to an ideal shape as a traveling direction speed of the target, and calculates the traveling direction speed of the target from acquisition data obtained from an antenna.
