Water blocking performance evaluation method and apparatus of water barrier

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impervious performance evaluation method capable of easily and accurately evaluating the impervious performance in an impervious structure, and a device therefor.SOLUTION: In an impervious performance evaluation method for an impervious structure, closed water areas 20, 30 are formed in the impervious structure constructed in a water bottom ground by water shielding work, the closed water areas are filled with water, and the impervious performance of the impervious structure is evaluated by measuring the reduction amount of water level in the closed water areas. The reduction amount of water level in the closed water areas is measured; a vessel 25 is installed at a position of nearly the same meteorological and oceanographic condition as that of the closed water areas; the reduction amount of water level in the inside of the vessel filled with water is measured; and the reduction amount of water level in the closed water areas is corrected on the basis of the reduction amount of water level in the vessel in order to eliminate influence of a reduction of water level due to evaporation.
