PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interference peak removal method capable of highly accurately removing an interference peak contained in an infrared absorption spectrum as a measurement sample without highly accurately removing atmospheric components in FT-IR (Fourier Transform type Infrared Spectrometer) from the spectrometer or without highly accurately matching them.SOLUTION: The interference peak removal method includes: a measurement sample spectrum creation step of creating plural number of sets according to the number of cumulative amounts from interferograms for prescribed number and calculating infrared absorption spectra of the plurality of measurement samples; a background spectrum creation step of calculating infrared absorption spectra in a plurality of backgrounds by a similar step thereto; and a step of removing the interference peak by selecting a set having a highest degree of coincidence of a shape of an interference peak part contained in the measurement spectrum and a shape of an infrared absorption spectrum in the background, and calculating a difference between the spectra.
