Abstract “Rock Bank Drilling and Dismantling Method” describes a method of drilling and dismantling rocky banks (1) in open pit iron ore mines. The method of the invention is configured to adapt state of the art drilling and blasting methodologies to modern iron ore mining systems employing conveyor belts (2) instead of off-highway trucks. The characteristics of the new method include: drilling holes (5) approximately 30 meters deep and a mooring plane configured to prevent material from being thrown onto the conveyor belts (2) during the detonation process of the rocky banks. (1); among other additional features. 1/1
