a cement bonding profile of recorded ultrasonic waveforms, a method for assessing cement bonding in a wellbore between a casing and a wellbore wall, and a method for creating a cement bonding profile from the wells. Registered ultrasonic waves are disclosed, in which a series of points corresponding to the maximum and minimum of the waveforms is identified. Absolute value amplitudes of the point series are thereafter identified and a correlation thereof is analyzed to divide each point series into four or more zones, corresponding to finish arrival data, inner and outer annular data, borehole wall respectively. The mean values of the absolute value waveform amplitudes for points in each series falling within each of the four zones are calculated, which refer to the cement bonding at the depths of the recorded ultrasonic waveforms.
