The present description refers to the use of cannabidiol (cbd) in the treatment of withdrawal attacks. In particular, the description relates to the use of cbd to reduce withdrawal attacks in patients suffering from etiologies including: lennox-gastaut syndrome; tuberous sclerosis complex; dravet syndrome; doose syndrome; cdk15; dup15q; jeavons syndrome; myoclonic withdrawal epilepsy, neuronal ceroid lipofuscinoses (ncl) and brain abnormalities. The description further refers to the use of cbd in combination with one or more antiepileptic drugs (aeds).
