摘要

The invention is related to the field of pharmacy, in particular, to pharmaceutical chemistry, and to medicinal products preparation technology. The method according to the invention (2 embodiments) makes it possible to determine quantity of polyhexamethylene biguadinine (PHMB) hydrochloride in compositions for preparing liquid medicinal products for treatment of eye and nose diseases, the 1st embodiment being intended for compositions without polyvinyl alcohol and the 2nd one for compositions containing polyvinyl alcohol. The methods for quantitative determination of polyhexamethylene biguadinine (PHMB) hydrochloride are based on measurement of optical density of solutions followed by mathematical calculations. Both methods are highly accurate since they allow determination of PHMB in concentrations of 0.0001-0.02%.
