The present invention relates to the toroidal piston engines. The conventional toroidal .engines suffered from the very complex mechanism and . . the lack of an effective sealing. An effective sealing can be achieved by introducing bi-directional pistons in the toroidal chambers. A simple mechanism can be achieved by introducing slots in between the arms of the bi-directional pistons. The slots facilitates the rotation of the pinion gear holder with the help of a slider. Additionally this mechanism has also got a gear train mechanism which will provide user an extra option to toggle the primary torque directly coming out directly from the engine, which will allow engine to transform between a passenger mover and a bulk carrier.
