The invention relates to a gearbox (608) for a mechanized farming implement to interconnect motor means with elements for driving the implement and comprising especially a gear-speed selection lever (614) fixedly attached to a bracket (1) extending into the interior of the gearbox (508) and adapted to cooperating with said sliding pinion (12) and, by its shifting, enabling a modification of the transmission ratio between the input shaft (21) and the output shaft (23). According to the invention, the gearbox (608) comprises a clamp (612, 613) for fixedly attaching the selection lever (614) to the gearbox (608), having a predetermined breaking strength and being adapted to getting broken if the force applied to the selection lever (614) exceeds a predetermined value.
