The invention relates to biochemical technology and bioenergetics, namely to simultaneous production of vitamin B12 and biogas by methanogenic fermentation of organic waste: alcohol distillery waste, sugar industry waste, etc., as well as sewage from cattle farms.The process for biochemical production of biomethane and vitamin B12 involves the fermentation of biomass containing organic waste, with the addition of sclareol and/or squalene, used as methanogenesis stimulants, citrate-ammonia complex of cobalt, potassium ferricyanide, methanol or ethanol, ammophos and dry fodder yeast. At the same time, the fermentation process is carried out under thermo- or mesophilic conditions, with additional supply of electrolytic hydrogen in the process of methanogenesis and pH adjustment in the range 6.5…7.5.
