The present invention relates to a device for protecting crops from weather influences, comprising a plurality of, in at least two rows and at a distance from each other positioned uprights which are connected to one another by means of tensioning means, the tensioning means comprising longitudinal tensioning means which connect the uprights in the direction of the rows and transverse tensioning means which connect the uprights in the direction transverse to the rows. The tensioning means extend substantially horizontally. In addition, the present invention also relates to a stand suitable for use as part of a device for the protection of crops against weather influences, a kit for an apparatus for protecting crops against weather influences, and to a method for arranging a device for the protection of crops against weather influences.
