An intellectual property (IP) docketing system for providing one or more IP records with an updated status is disclosed. The IP docketing system includes an IP order database stored in a computer readable medium, and a web services response processor. The IP order database is adapted to store a plurality of IP order records, each including an updatable status, and the web services response processor is adapted to update the updatable status of at least one IP order record in response to receiving a web services response.
