The object of the invention are fungicides and algaecides and methods of wood protection against fungi, in particular fungi causing brown, white and soft rot, and also against filamentous fungi, especially mould fungi, blue stain fungi and algae. The bioactive substance in the formulation of the invention are mixtures of ammonium ionic liquids of the general formula 1 wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 substituents denote alkyl substituents or unsaturated hydrocarbon substituents, whereas R 1 may also denote benzyl, and X denotes nitrate(V) anion or nitrate(III) anion or propionate or dicyanimide or dodecylbenzosulphonate anion with 1,2,4-triazole derivatives, which is tebuconazole or a mixture of tebuconazole and propiconazole. In the second aspect, the object of the invention is a method for surface and deep wood protection, in particular against fungi and algae, consisting in surface or deep impregnation of wood with a mixture according to the invention.
