The invention concerns high-performance fibrous filtration material modified by nanostrands of ZnO for use in filtration systems and liquid and/or gas purification devices, in particular in water and air filters and in coalescents. The new solution is that on the surface of the fibres of the filtration material of the thermoplastic polymer produced by melt-blown (melt-blown) technique,With regulated fibre diameters, favourable in the range of 0,1 m to 10 m, forming the fibrous polymer structure of the filtration material, a nano-occurrence range of ZnO is formed in the form of nanorods having diameters, advantageous in the range of 5-100 nm, the height favourable to 50-500 nm and the distance between adjacent nanorods, placed at intervals on the surface of the individual fibre advantageously 30-1000 nm. The invention also ensures that such fibrous filtration material is manufactured according to the invention and that the filtration material is used according to the invention in the filtration inserts.
