A SYNTHETIC PEPTIDE, THAT HAS BEEN PRODUCED BY THREE NUCLEOTHIC SEQUENCES OF THE NATIVE SEQUENCE OF P. JIROVECII MSG PROTEIN, INTERLIGATED BETWEEN TWO BRIDGES OF GLYCINE RESIDUES. THIS RECOMBINANT POLIPEPTDITIVE FRAGMENT, PRODUCED ON THE BASIS OF PROTEIN MSG, IS AN ARTIFICIAL ANTIGEN BY P. JIROVECII ABLE TO REACT WITH ANTIBODIES PRODUCED IN RESPONSE TO PNEUMOCYSTIS INFECTION. The present invention also includes the method of detecting such antibodies in samples of corporeal fluid by immunoassay, in particular ELISA, in which the artificial antigen is used as the diagnostic tool of the PPC (BIOSPHERE).
