A process of producing- herbal ointment for treating wounds using ampalaya (Momordica charantia)- chili (Capsicum frutescens) leaves comprising of the steps: measuring the pre-determined amount of ampalaya leaves, chili leaves and candle wax; washing the ampalaya leaves and chili leaves with running and distilled water; pounding the ampalaya and chili leaves; setting up a double boiler-- a pot of boiling water with a heat-resistant bowl over the pot; melting the candle wax inside the bowl; adding the pounded ampalaya and chili leaves; simmering the mixture on a very low heat at pre-determined time: pouring the mixture into the cheesecloth that have fitted around the rim of a container and securing a rubber band; squeezing the mixture through the cheesecloth while wearing the rubber gloves; transferring the mixture into sterile storage container while still warm; allowing the herbal ointment to cool completely before securing a lid; and storing the herbal ointment at pre-determined days in a room temperature.
