The present invention is directed toward a fitting assemblyfor establishing a fluid-tight connection with a pipe, the pipehaving an aperture in a sidewall thereof, an inner surface, andan outer surface. The assembly comprises at least one adaptingmember, an internal sealing member disposed about the adaptingmember adjacent a distal end thereof, a compression memberdisposed about the adapting member adjacent a proximal endthereof, and an external sealing member disposed about theadapting member between the internal sealing member andcompression member. The distal end of the adapting membercomprises teeth with outwardly extending flanged ends forinsertion in the pipe's aperture. Operation of the compressionmember causes the components to exert a compressive force on thesidewall of the pipe, forming the seal.
