The invention relates to an elastic wave containment device including: a plate (PL) attached to a rigid mounting (SP) at fixed points (FP) distributed over the plate along two lateral lines (LL1, LL2) that therebetween define a containment region (WG) without a fixed point, outside of which the fixed points are spaced, at most, at a first distance from each other, the two lateral lines being spaced at at least a second distance from each other, which is greater than the first distance, and an excitation area (RFP) located on the plate in the containment region, where elastic waves are applied to the containment region.
