Provided are a color-matching apparatus and color-matching method for touch-up paints which can sufficiently assist in a color-matching operation which has conventionally been performed using experience and intuition mainly in automatic repair shops. The color-matching apparatus and color-matching method for touch-up paints comprise: calculating an error between measured color data of a portion to be painted and measured color data of a painted sheet for each coordinate axis (S3); searching for a compound paint having characteristic information which acts to reduce the error, as a color-matching candidate, for each coordinate axis (S5); calculating a base amount of the color-matching candidate corresponding to the amount of a touch-up paint used for painting the portion to be painted (S7); calculating an error ratio for each coordinate axis by dividing the error by a reference value corresponding to the measured color data (S8); and multiplying the base amount of the color-matching candidate by the error ratio to calculate a color-matching amount for each color-matching candidate (S10).
