Provided are a bearer establishment method and apparatus, a media gateway and a voice bearer establishment system. The method comprises: establishing a first terminal for enabling an outgoing side of a bearer independent call control (BICC) relay from an enhanced mobile switching centre (eMSC) to a visited mobile switching centre (VMSC) to bear voices (S21); sending bearer information about the first terminal to the VMSC, so as to enable the VMSC to request a second media gateway (MGW2) to establish a second terminal for enabling an incoming side of a BICC relay from the VMSC to the eMSC to bear voices (S23); receiving bearer information about the second terminal, which is sent after the MGW2 establishes the second terminal (S25); and according to the bearer information about the first terminal and the bearer information about the second terminal, sending, to the MGW2, a user-plane initialization request for connecting the voice bearers of the first terminal and the second terminal, and notifying the eMSC that a BICC bearer branch is established (S27). By means of the solutions of the present invention, the problem of an excessively long voice delay caused to a user in a switching process of a single radio voice call continuity (SRVCC) service is solved.
