The numeric keyboard comprises ten numeric keys, 0 to 9, letters A and B are put on numeric key 1, letters C, D and E are put on numeric key 2, letters F and G are put on numeric key 3, letters H, I and J are put on numeric key 4, letters K, L, M and N are put on numeric key 5, letters O, P and Q are put on numeric key 6, letters R, V and T are put on numeric key 7, letters U, S and W are put on numeric key 8, and letters X, Y and Z are put on numeric key 9. When the present invention is used for inputting Chinese and English, the number of times a numeric key is clicked is few, the input speed is fast, and repeated codes are few, thereby improving the input efficiency of Chinese and English text. The keyboard and Chinese and English input methods of the present invention can be widely applied to text information input of an electronic device, such as a computer, a television, a mobile phone, an electronic learning machine, an intelligent toy and a robot.
