MULTI SET TOP BOX BANDWIDTH ALLOCATION METHOD AND DEVICE

Disclosed are a multi set top box (STB) bandwidth allocation method and device. The method comprises: a main STB starts and joins a multicast group, and loads the shared total bandwidth of the current STB and a preset bandwidth priority policy by means of a bandwidth management component; and in response to a bandwidth application from a STB in the multicast group, the main STB allocates bandwidth via the bandwidth management component on the basis of the bandwidth priority policy and the shared total bandwidth. By means of the technical solution of the present invention, the bandwidth used by a STB in a home can be managed effectively, and a STB with higher priority can access more services on the basis of user demand.
