An embodiment of the present invention relates to a cutting force monitoring apparatus for monitoring an actual loading (a cutting force) of a rotating tool used in a machine tool in real time, the apparatus comprising: a chuck detachably attached to the machine tool; a housing disposed at one side of the chuck; a tool which has a strain gauge disposed thereat, extends through the housing, and is fixed to the chuck; and an embedded unit which is embedded in the housing, obtains and calculates a cutting force signal detected through the strain gauge, and wirelessly transmits the cutting force signal.
