In an indication body position detecting device (1), a control unit (35) is provided with: a position detecting unit (351), an identifying unit (352) which identifies a signal received by the position detecting unit (351) through one of selection circuits (31X and 31Y); and a changing unit (353) which changes, into the signal identified by the identifying unit (352), a signal received by the position detecting unit (351) through the other of the selection circuits (31X and 31Y).
