A near-infrared absorbing composition including at least one compound selected from among a solvent and a curable compound, and a metal compound that is an infrared absorbing compound, wherein the near-infrared absorbing composition includes a metal component that includes metal atoms differing from the metal atoms included in the metal compound, the metal atoms included in the metal component being included at 0.005-1 mass parts to 100 mass parts of the metal atoms included in the metal compound.
