Autonomous unit for generating electrical power higher than 150 kWp of a field of photovoltaic panels, contained in a shelter (a), intended for installations in hot countries, without requiring the availability of power sources via an electricity grid and without negatively affecting the yield of solar energy production of the field of photovoltaic panels, characterized by: - a shelter (a) composed of one or more containers (b), each of the containers being insulated and air conditioned (c) for the purpose of accommodating the control equipment; - standard control equipment (d) fitted with components that are not tropicalized for usage in hot countries; - the roof (e) of the shelter being completely covered, in particular by photovoltaic panels (f), for the purpose of ensuring the generation of electricity required for the autonomous operation of the technical equipment contained in the shelter; and sun protection making a substantial contribution to improving the thermal performance inside the containers.
