A musical piece development analysis device (1) includes: a comparison object sound detection unit (34) which uses, as a comparison object sound, a prescribed musical instrument sound from musical piece data (4) to detect the sound production position thereof; a sound production pattern comparison unit (35) which sets at least two comparison sections of a prescribed length in the musical piece data, compares the sound production pattern of the comparison object sound in the comparison sections, and detects the degree of similarity of the comparison sections; and a development change-point determination unit (36) which determines development change-points in the musical piece data on the basis of the degree of similarity.
