The present invention provides an apparatus to evaluate a business value of a new and renewable energy generating facility, to set evaluation items in order to evaluate a business value of a new and renewable energy business, and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the apparatus comprises: an evaluation item setting unit to set evaluation items including at least one among an annual generation amount, sales, a generation cost, operational expenses, a depreciation cost, a pre-tax profit, a cooperate tax expense, and annual cash flow in order to evaluate a business value of a new and renewable energy business; a result calculation unit receiving information of each evaluation item to output a calculation resu and a business value evaluation unit to evaluate the business value of the new and renewable energy business based on calculation results of a net present value, a cost benefit ratio, an internal rate of return, and an investment payback period.
