The present invention relates to a system and a method for managing commuting to school using a near field communication tag, and a reader for a teacher. The system for managing commuting to school using a near field communication tag may include a near field communication (NFC) tag for a vehicle that stores vehicle-related information and is attached to the vehicle; an NFC tag for a student that stores student-related information and is owned by the student; and a reader for a teacher which receives the vehicle-related information from the vehicle NFC tag, receives the student-related information from the student NFC tag, and processes the received student-related information according to a set mode.
